Toothaches can affect every aspect of your life, making it difficult to sleep, focus at work or school, or even exercise. In order to make sure that your toothache does not negatively affect your life to too great a degree, you need to take care of it as soon as possible. Many people prefer natural remedies that will allow them to deal with the pain without putting additional toxins in their bodies. Here are three natural home remedies that you can use to heal your toothache and move on with your life.
1. Use Oil of Oregano and Colloidal Silver
One of the more common reasons why a person's tooth aches is if they have an abscess. The easiest way to deal with a toothache that results from this cause is to simply combine oil of oregano and colloidal silver, both of which can be purchased from some grocery stores and health food stores. Both can also be found online. First, take some oil of oregano and put it under your tongue. Hold it there for between one and three minutes. Swish with colloidal silver and spit out both the colloidal silver and the oregano. Then, take a small amount of additional colloidal silver and swallow it. You can do this every hour until your toothache subsides.
2. Use Ginger Root
Go to the grocery store and purchase some ginger root. Take off its skin and cut off a small piece. Place it on the offending tooth and bite down. It will hurt more for a second, but as the substance from the ginger root works its way in and around the tooth, you will feel a great deal less pain. Put the rest of the ginger root in an airtight container to save for later. Repeat the process whenever you feel pain in the tooth. After a week, the pain in your tooth should subside for good.
3. Rinse With Salt
First place two teaspoons of salt into a cup. Then, take some boiling water and pour in just enough to dissolve all of the salt. Then, add cool water until it the water is warm, yet still cool enough to drink. Put the entire solution in your mouth and swish it for between one and three minutes. Spit out the water. Repeat this process twice a day. If it is not as effective as you would like, consider upping the amount of salt by a teaspoon.
